1. Tracking with IMEI Number.
The IMEI number is a unique number designated to each mobile phone for security and identification purposes. Every mobile phone has a unique IMEI number to identify it. The IMEI is usually written on the phone pack and can also be viewed from the phone by dialing *#06# to display the number. To track your phone using the IMEI number, you will have to download an IMEI Tracking Application from Google Play store with another phone. Then enter the IMEI number of your phone to track it. Note that different applications may work differently base on how it is programmed.
2. Tracking by Your Network Provider.
Another means of tracking your lost phone, is through the network provider of the Sim card in your phone. Before they track your phone, you will be asked to provide the registration details of your Sim card and also the IMEI number of your phone for them to be able to track it. Once you are done, they will track the exact location of your phone and also detect the current Sim card being used in the phone. You can also request for your information to be erased or even block the phone to prevent the user from making use of it.
